Live Your Mark
Somewhere along the way, without choosing it, you became a character. Not the hero of your own story. A character. Someone running a role that was written before you were old enough to question it. And you have been playing it so long it feels like just who you are.
There is a story that mapped this out a long time ago. Six characters, each stuck in their own way, each on a road back to something they lost.
You know it as The Wizard of Oz. But it was never really about a girl and a yellow brick road. It was a map of the exact ways humans lose themselves, and what it takes to find the way back.
Maybe you cannot quite put your finger on what feels off. Maybe you have been carrying a quiet sense of something missing but never had the words for it.
We could have built this around psychological frameworks and clinical terminology. We chose a story instead.
Not because it is simpler. Because stories reach the parts that jargon cannot. The Wizard of Oz has endured for over a century because it captures something true about the human experience. Six characters. Six very real ways of being stuck.
