To live an authentic and successful life, we must answer 3 questions:
If you’ve read all three articles in the series, you’re ready for the final step – putting them all together. Finding the answers to the three questions is a continuous process of self-discovery and growth. It’s not only about finding, it’s also about creating. All three processes interact with one another to allow you to live the life you really want.
Impression Work (freedom) removes the impressions left by past experiences, allowing you to get in touch with your true values and your core. Some values you have may have been impressed upon you by your family, your peers, or by society. These are values that are imparted by the environment. While this is necessary for survival, too much of these values that are impressed upon by the environment will cause your inner spirit to die. That is when you become lost, not knowing what is right for you.
While Values Work (truth) is about the inner work, discovering your personal values is not enough. It is also about achieving congruence between your inner values and external environment. Manifestation Work (creation) comes into play here. Manifestation Work allows you to create external forms that you value. Should you not be skilled in Manifestation Work, repeated failures would cause your spirit to die. Furthermore, if you were unable to assess a situation accurately or choose a form that you can obtain resources from, then your livelihood will be affected.
Therefore, finding out your values and purpose is only the first step. The tricky part is figuring out how your values can take shape in the world. Say you value freedom. How does freedom manifest in the world for you? If you value freedom and strength, how do these two values manifest together in a form that the world can accept?
Impression Work comes hand in hand with Manifestation Work. Impression Work allows you to take advantage of opportunities that arise, rather than remaining stuck in patterns that may not forward you.
Being skilled at all three forms of the Work allows you to live an authentic and successful life in today’s terms. This is the heart of what we do at Live Your Mark.
